Please Tell Me...

I'm not the only one who forgets to feed their child occasionally... Um. So Levi and I were fasting today, and we forgot to feed Lucas lunch :/ He had a good breakfast and snack then went down for his nap this afternoon. He slept until like 2:30! Then he just played until dinner, which was thankfully around 5. Needless to say, Lucas was very anxious to bless the food at dinner - he folds one of his arms right up under his chin :) - and he ate very well! Poor kid...

Speaking of Lucas, I can't believe he turns 2 on Thursday!! Time goes by way too fast. We found him the cutest little Elmo cake at Walmart. Yes, Walmart! His own little 4 in round cake with an Elmo spark! For $6! Perfect :) I am very excited about this!

Now for Via... She is growing up way too fast as well. She is crawling everywhere and starting to pull herself up to things :/ She hates being fed baby food, though. I tried giving her her own spoon, but then she just chews on that if I try to get food in. If she doesn't have her own spoon, she chews on her fist and screams when I try to take it out to feed her. Crazy girl. She likes table food. We fed her some beans and corn from our dinner tonight, and she loved that! But try to spoon feed her... No way. I can sometimes get a few hassle-free bites in her, but that's about it. And she always ends up a complete mess, which I know is normal, but still a little frustrating ;) Oh, well. She will get the hang of it faster than I can think, I'm sure!

Graduation!!

Yay!!! Levi is now officially a college graduate! We were able to both walk together last Friday since I will officially be done after my externship (like an internship, but it can't be paid. Yeah, it's weird). We also walked next to one of our good friends, Kayla Lemmon :) Congrats to her as well <3

And so we are on to the next part of our lives: living in my mother-in-law's basement while I work for free! Yay!! :/ We were joking about it as we were lining up (super early) for commencement. I thought it was funny, anyway! Things will happen when they are supposed to happen. I can't say I'm at all sad that I have an externship in Pocatello with the clinic I went to while I was pregnant with Via :) Should be fun!

Since Levi and I have been married, we have moved 6 times so far. Tomorrow will be our 7th. I. hate. moving. I'm hoping we only have three more moves in the next ten years haha! One to Pocatello, one to wherever, and one into an actual house where I can finally take everything out of storage! What an adventure this life is!

I have a video of us actually walking, but it's not working right now. I will have to come back and try to upload it later; here are some pictures for now (which I'm sure you've already seen on Facebook. Sorry).

Finals Week and A Family Reunion

The weekend before finals week we had a family reunion up in Harriman Park with Levi's siblings. Luckily our finals weeks weren't too bad at all. I had a few papers to grade, some practice forms to fill out, and a test in just one of my classes. Levi had a final Portuguese paper and a video to turn in, but for the most part, the last few weeks of school weren't very demanding :) This made it that much easier to enjoy our time with family! We went for a nice long walk the first night where Levi caught a little 3 in fish with his hands - yuck! We had a family talent show in which our family's talent was that Lucas can stack blocks and Via knows how to giggle. We went to Mesa Falls and Big Springs, horseback riding, played games, and stayed up way too late talking most nights. Good food, good times :)

Sorry the pictures aren't in order. They uploaded weird.

4th of July

Man, it has been almost a month since I last posted :/ Can you tell it has been busy around here??
Instead of doing one massive post, I will actually break them up this time...

So, the 4th of July! We all went down to Malad (where Levi is from) for the day. We actually had breakfast at his mom's in Pocatello that morning - her annual red, white, and blue breakfast :) We made it to Malad in time for the parade, went to the traditional Christiansen lunch/reunion that Levi's aunt Wendy does every year. So yummy! We didn't go the year before, but figure/hope we may not be around this area next year we had better get down this year!

After lunch we went to the park and waited there for Malad Idol to start. By the end of the show, the kids were getting super cranky, so we drove home during the fireworks :( All in all, it was a fun day!

Lucas, either on the way to Pocatello or Malad  ??

While waiting for the show to start, all Lucas really wanted to do was climb up and down the stairs to the slide. I think he started actually going down the slide later...

Miss V with her red, white, and blue headband that Grandma Susie made :)

This is how Lucas was by the end of the show... he went through both sets of clothes - he stepped in mud at some point as well. He usually doesn't even get through the clothes he has on, so I never bring more than one extra... He was climbing all over the stroller by the end of the day, too because he was so antsy :)
